I e-mailed Mary Beth today to get "invited". I can't wait; I think this will be a great networking opportunity for Georgia compliance officers. In my time as a Compliance Officer, nothing has helped me more than peer feedback/discussion.

Thanks again Waldensouth!!

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
We're thinking 10:00 to 2:00. This should give us plenty of time for a training session, LUNCH, and organizational type meeting/roundtable discussions.

Thanks for pulling this all together and I'm also looking forward to being part of this group.

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
Compliance Peer Group Organizing
In last week’s e-Bulletin, we announced the formation of the Compliance Peer Group, and the response has been terrific. We are inviting compliance officers to attend a complimentary organizational meeting on July 25th at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Macon. The Compliance Peer Group is intended to be of help whether you wear your compliance hat full time or part time. Our goal is to facilitate compliance officers helping each other navigate the ever-changing tide of regulatory compliance. In addition to discussing various ways to communicate among each other, keynote speaker Bonnie Reid of BANC Financial Group, Inc., Atlanta, will provide the latest information on one of the compliance officer’s hot buttons. Our thanks to Louvera Walden with Ameris Bancorp in Moultrie for agreeing to chair this effort. Advance registration is required. Please contact GBA’s Marybeth Jones at (404) 420-2032 or mjones@gabankers.com to sign up.

I sent an e-mail to Marybeth requesting to be invited but I never heard back from her. I'll send another.

I did the same thing. I left her a phone message earlier this morning.

I know she was out of the office for about 8 days but should have returned last week.

How do you subscribe to the e-bulletin? I couldn't find it on the GBA site. Thanks.

E-mail Joe Brannen or Lydia at gabankers.com and ask to be added to their distribution list.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone that is interested got an e-mail from Marybeth about the meeting. She wants positive replies prior to signing us up individually for the meeting. The list is HUGE and I can't wait to meet a lot of these people and see old friends.

There were 76 on the list! If you're not on the list and want to be - please contact MaryBeth. I look forward to meeting all of you!

Are we going to add our BOL "names" to our name tags so everyone can put a face to them?

That would be a good idea - I'm sure the name tags will be the kind you fill out yourself.

How did the July 25th meeting go?
I was unable to attend because I was leaving for the National Compliance School in Berkeley, Ca.
My brain is fried.
Please let me know I am very interested.
Thanks, Karan 678-521-1743
