We have just opened our first branch. Does anyone have a checklist of where to begin on my first audit of the branch? I am very new to this bank and new to audit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You'd want to review cash procedures (teller and vault), opening and closing procedures, security, safe deposits, ATM, night drop, etc.

You should review the same items for your main office periodically, too, by the way.

In addition to what J mentioned you might want to make sure the appropriate branch compliance signage is up.

Don't forget travelers checks and gift cards if you sell them.

If you need a branch audit program that includes all of these items, just PM me.
