Obama appears to be an intelligent guy. Why debate now when the majority of the people are not paying attention to politics? He will probably get more press by ditching anyways because all of the other media stations will carry that.

In fact, he is quite intelligent, a Constitutional Lawyer (like my boy Mark Levin, only a leftie). And while I dread the idea of any leftist becoming president, Obama has infinitely more virtue than carpet-bagging opportunist Clinton, and if it does come down to a democrat in the whitehouse, I'd rather him over her anyday.

My understanding is that Fox reported that an opinion magazine said the Hillary campaign was spreading a story that Obama attended a Madrassa. Observations:

1. Is it now a "Known Fact" (tm) that everyone who attends a Madrassa (lit., "school" in Arabic) is a terrorist? Wow, how open-minded.

2. Are you really going to set yourself up like this? You mean that if I can show any instance where CNN has reported that a liberal group said this or that about a conservative - and this or that was questionable - that would be reason enough for Republicans to start boycotting CNN?

3. Even if the story is completely bogus (the school shouldn't be considered a madrassa, and no one in Hillary's campaign was circulating it), and even if Fox shouldn't have reported that it was out there, is the "answer" to boycott them? Should Republicans have boycotted CBS after Rathergate?

Who wound you up today? I don't care if politicians go on any of these shows. Whether or not to have debates is one of the oldest controversies of this Republic.

Since he is currently considered the front runner, I doubt he would agree to any debates on any station.

As usual, it is a vast conspiracy.

I just do not trust anything Clintonian, Bim. It would be a lesser of two evils, both are socialist-leaning both support the general liberal party platform, but I just think he has more character than Clinton does. John Edwards is more libby than both of them I believe. Go Fred Thompson!!!!

It's certainly their business where to appear and where not to. These gentlemen are deciding to score political points by excluding one network, and that is their right. It's my right to call it a load of balogna, too. I don't consider that "wound up".

(a) I don't think there is a clear front-runner at this point. (b) My understanding is that Mr. Obama has agreed to six other debates. (c) I've never considered an individual decision reached by an individual campaign, then repeated by other individual campaigns when they see the positive reaction among the nutroots, to be a "conspiracy" - it's about as non-conspiratorial as you can get. Politicians playing politics - what a surprise!

Which both sides do. As you said playing politics; this is why I stay away from both political parties.

Yes, both sides play politics, however, I think it's fair to observe that the hue and cry from the mainstream liberal media would be much different if Republicans were boycotting an established mainstream media outlet.

Bias is not a conspiracy. It's a tendency.

Which is why I said bias and conspiracies. The and is a conjunction connecting two different nouns.

If I had meant that they were one and the same I would have said bias/conspiracy to show how they were the same thought, expressed with two different terms.

But thanks for taking the time to post.

Oh, you are quite welcome - anytime!

A question, though: where do you think I indicated that I believed there was a conspiracy? You've tried to paint me twice in this thread as a conspiratorialist, which I decidedly am not. You've previously acknowledged that I'm always perfectly clear in my communications (unlike some), so, by inference, this isn't looking good for your reading comprehension skills.

Straw, come on. Don't be a Huge Ron. In response to two of my posts in this thread, you stated:

Isn't one poster who says outrageous things and then backpedals without ever admitting they were wrong enough?

I am not backpedaling at all. I am just saying that all this talk here and on conservative talk shows indicates its all about bias and conspiracies.

Everyone is against on us, ganging up on us, double standards, etc.

You easily saw the inferrence in Ron's posts yesterday, but can't see the inference in your own. How unusual.

And please, lets not get into another I didn't say that, show me where I said that. I said inferrence. You will follow this with your usual denial, but unfortunately I have to get back to work, so have fun talking to yourself.

It's not a conspiracy; it is an institutional bias. I don't see that statement to be contradictory, but apparently you do. And that's fine - you're entitled to your opinion - but don't play this game of saying that I'm a conspiratorialist and then denying that you said it. I have more respect for you than that.

I don't know what my usual denial is, so I can't provide it, but I doubt this disappointment will put you in any more sour a mood than you already were. Try to have a nice evening, anyway.
