If we choose to report consumer purpose loans is there an obligation to report ALL consumer purpose loans? If so, please provide a cite in Reg B or FCRA for reference. Thank you.

There is no requirement to report any loans, although I believe the Fed encouraged banks to report in a FIL several years back in order that other banks could receive a total credit picture of applicants.

You may also want to check with any contracts that you have with your CRA and with your data processor who is probably the one transmitting the tapes with the CBR info. Would there be a specific reason that you would not want to report some when you would report others? It would seem to be easier if you just had a blanket policy to report all consumer credit.
