I will bump this one up as I also will need an audit program for remote deposits in the near future.

This isn't exactly an audit, but it gives good information on policies and procedures.

This is on my list of things to do as well.....The audit is scheduled for later in the year, thankfully. I just got an update on my audit procedures manual and there was nothing.

I have a pile of reading on risks from links I have found on netdeposit, remotedepositcapture, gonzobanker, etc. I figured start with the risks...... is there a policy covering it, how good is the policy, admin setup on software, how are customers approved, are deposits monitored (how, by whom), are customers reviewed annually, what are customers doing with checks when they are done, what kind of agreement did customers sign, etc.

I haven't figured out the nuts and bolts of sampling deposited items, etc. I figure I should look for kiting (my big fear!), double deposits, deposit of personal items, deposit of foreign items....but I haven't really put pen to paper on this yet. It's all kinda racing around my head.

I was hoping there would be more info coming out - - -then the IIA financial services conf is scheduled for June (still OK time frame for my audit) - - - -maybe more info there.

If I get something together - - - I'll keep you all in mind. I would appreciate the same.

Please keep me in mind also as we are just getting into remote deposit capture. Like Cornfed Turtle I have not set anything to paper yet so if someone comes up with something please let me know and I will do the same.

I'm going to the NACHA conference next week and RDC will be the hot topic among vendors and session presenters.

I'll try to find out if anything is available and let everyone know. (I need to add it to my audit program also.)

Well, none of the presenters I talked to knew of an RDC audit yet. However, someone from one of the payment associations realized this is something that is needed and took my business card. She is going to let me know if she finds one or perhaps will even have their payment association create one.

I had someone send me an audit program, if anyone is interested send me a message and I will forward it to you. I believe it is a good program and I am adding it to my audits.
