They were probably ethnic albanians. They may have been trying to free a prisoner, since there is a federal prison there. Needless to say, I broke my GF's chops bigtime, since she is Kosovarian.

Well...is now saying that they were indeed Islamic Radicals. 'Islamic radicals' arrested in plot to kill Fort Dix soldiersWASHINGTON (CNN) -- Six "Islamic radicals" involved in a plot to kill U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey were arrested Monday night, the U.S. Attorney's office in New Jersey said Tuesday.
One of the suspects was born in Jordan, another in Turkey, the U.S. Attorney's office said. The rest are believed to be Yugoslavian, "either U.S. citizens or living illegally in the United States," the office said in a statement.

They were obviously stupid. I mean, c'mon, trying to buy automatic weapons, in NJ! Ha!!!!  Well, they would have the full support and approval of the NRA. Particularly if any of them were blind or mentally ill.

Considering that the NRA has fought every attempt to limit the manufacture, distribution, sale, and ownership of assult weapons and handguns, it's the only logical assumption one could make.

bimmer, please see my "From OBL's Cold Dead Hands" thread. I saw that article Ron. The way I read it is that the NRA doesn't want to ban the sale of guns to people who are suspects. "As many of our friends in law enforcement have rightly pointed out, the word 'suspect' has no legal meaning, particularly when it comes to denying constitutional liberties," However, it says nothing about not banning the sale of guns to people who are in this Country Illegally, which these terrorists were. So, I'll ask again. Please show me where the NRA stated that it is ok to sell guns to Illegal Aliens?
