In TX they considering temporarily suspending the state gas tax for summer relief... I'm spending about $300 monthly right now and it's relatively cheaper here than most places.

Gas around my hometown is about $2.83 a gallon.
Saw a cheap place on Saturday, literally just said "Gas", for $2.81...

I know I paid more than $3.00 a gallon yesterday, but I've really stopped looking. I have to buy gas, no getting around it, so I try not to look and make myself sick. BUT I was HORRIFIED that it cost me over $50 to fill up yesterday!!! (05 Grand Prix) Before that the most I had paid was just over $40. I wish I worked closer to home so I could ride my bike!

$3.59 for the cheap, $3.81 for premium.

I've expressed my issues on the 'couch'.... but I used to budget $30 for each tank, now it's up around $45. And I get gas around 3 times a week, so I definitely feel it. Either I'm going to find a job closer to home (I drive 100 miles a day), or I'm going to move - one of them will come first.

No way for me to take public transportation - i just have to wait it out.

I filled up on Saturday at $2.99 a gallon for my Kia. By the time I went inside to pay (along with drinks and chips for the ride) it went up to $3.01. My daughter said "Just in time, Mom. Gas has gone up again". She's only 11 and realizes the pinch of a few pennies. On the plus side, diesel is still at $2.79-however, the "pay at the pump" service has a $75 maximum allowance per transaction and that didn't fill up the truck *sigh*
