Finished this over the weekend - don't waste your time or money - turned out to be a snooze fest.

I think it's called The Innocent Man by John Grisham. I haven't really gotten into it much yet becasue I have to finish my book of Sudoko first!

I started reading "The Secret" a couple nights ago. I read slow and am only on page 10 or something, but it is interesting. The part I read last night was on the law of attraction and your thoughts (how like thoughts will attract and you'll keep thinking about them) and all night in my sleep, I was dreaming/thinking "My thoughts become things...my thoughts become things..."

Will you keep me posted with how this book is? I have had so many people recommend this to me, but I just can't do it because Oprah recommend it (and I know that is childish, but I just can't stand her!!!) I read some really bad reviews about it too, so I just don't know who to believe!!!

I just started "Don't Sit Under The Grits Tree With Anyone Else But Me" by Lewis Grizzard. I love his Southern humor.

Finished "The Mermaid Chair" a couple of weeks ago. Very good.

I love John Sandford/John Camp. Have read most of his...

Working my way through the last (Prayers for Rain) of the Kenzie/Gennaro mystery series by Dennis LeHane. I'm gonna miss these characters - last one was written in 1999, and he says he's not continuing the series. Great while it lasted.

I know I am in the minority and I am not trying to stir up hostility. IMO, she is self important and hostile to anyone who, in her opinion, makes her look bad. She likes to come off as being generous, but only because it makes her look good, not because she just wants to do good.

Again, these are just my opinions, and I know I am in the minority, and I could go on about what bothers me, but I will stop now.

I'm sure there are those who will find it hokey ( I am trying hard not to!) and if you read it with that attitude, it certainly won't be of any help to you. I am trying to keep an open/positive mind about it because at this point in my life, I am hoping for some guidance/enlightenment/revelation/SOMEthing... I heard about it first from my boss' boss' wife and it really changed her life for the better. Then I saw it mentioned in a magazine, so decided to pick it up.

Magic. I read Bees and Mermaid's Chair. The latter is more bittersweet than bees, which I found very uplifting. Chair is a good book, however, just more sad in spots.

I am going to start reading a new book that I picked up at the Grand Canyon last weekend. It's written by a Park Ranger and talks about all of the experiences that she'd had there.

My sister gave me The Starter Wife, last night. I am going to keep it in my desk for lunchtime reading. The show looks good hopefully the book will be too.
