Does anyone know if there is a manual for redeeming savings bonds.
We had some recently where they had to be sent to the Federal Reserve in Kansas City
and the teller was not aware of how to handle.
A manual would help for new employees who arn't aware of some of the basic rules.
Thanks

You need to get a copy "Savings Bond Resource Guide". It has everything you need to know about bonds and even has quick guides for use on the teller line.

You might also want to contact your local Bureau of Public Debt to arrange for training classes. Our local rep in Birmingham comes to the bank and conducts bond seminars on site. The price is right (free) and it's a great way to keep your folks up to speed on this increasingly complicated product. And now would be good timing--a very American thing to do!
