I'll go ahead and tell you...when something happens to either one of my babies (shih tzus) I will need a tranquilizer and possibly a straight jacket. I wake them up in the middle of the night just to make sure they're still alive.

I'm thinking that it's all about unconditional love - that's what is offered by dogs - they don't dwell on the past, it's all about now. You just don't generally get unconditional love from humans.

aw, may they live long and enjoy great health, but i am glad I don't live in your house; I need my sleep. They must feel like they are permanent residents of a hospital, being awakened every hour.
