Anyone ever look at the labels of bottled water? I'm drinking one now called Sierra Springs, and the background on the label shows mountain ranges, snow covered peaks, sun just coming up. I look at where it is from, and it is from Kentwood, LA. (yes, the hometown of brittney spears). Kentwood is known as one of the premier bottled water companies operating out of new orleans for the past 50+ years, but they sold out to a Japanese company in the late 80s, causing a major issue in the NO area. Kentwood is very flat, very small, no mountains within at least 10 hours driving time, if not more.
I have seen other bottled waters that have really neat sounding names, but that were bottled from "municipal supply" of the city listed. Duh, tap water.
Are we as consumers that gullible?

Yes, most consumers are very gullible. It's all about marketing my friend...all about marketing.

I drink the tap water and, aside from my extra arm and slight green tint, I am perfectly fine.

Aquafina is a popular brand of bottled water. It was first distributed in Wichita, Kansas in 1994, and was distributed across the United States , Canada , Turkey and Vietnam by 1997. As of 2003, had become the United States' top-selling bottled water brand in measured retail channels. The water is standard tap water but goes through an extensive purification process that includes charcoal filtration, reverse osmosis and ozonation. Aquafina is sold in 12-ounce, 500-mL (16.9-ounce), 20-ounce, 24-ounce, 1-liter, and 1.5-liter bottles.

I can't remember what kind it was, but I was reading a water lable prob 8-10 years ago, or so and it stated "no arsenic". Now why the heck do you need to list that the water does not contain anything that will slowly kill you. Isn't that implied???

I drink bottled water for convinience if I'm running or something, otherwise the tap works just fine for me.

"Osmosis - the tendency of a fluid, usually water, to pass through a semipermeable membrane into a solution where the solvent concentration is higher, thus equalizing the concentrations of materials on either side of the membrane. b. the diffusion of fluids through membranes or porous partitions." So, if Osmosis is passing throrugh something, reverse osmosis doesn't pass through anything? Sort of, meaning, they do nothing?

I can't drink my tap water here in NV, unless I'd like to chew on some minerals too.
We have a Pur filter on our faucet and we also have Sparkletts at home. Sometimes I get lazy and buy bottled water at Costco, but it's only 4 bucks for 35 bottles so I don't feel too cheated.

As a result, the water never comes into contact with the air, protecting it from environmental pollutants and other contamination. So, once you open it to drink, and it contacts air and is contaminated, doesn't that defeat the advertising????LOLoad
