I just find it oh so amusing that "fancy a fag" is a legit way to offer a cigarette to someone in england! Makes me chuckle all over!

If you ever watch the British Britcom - Are you Being Served - Onslo calls them fags. Since we watch this every week and have them all on DVD, I've gotten quite used to it.

I thought a faggot was a bundle of sticks???  It is, it is also a kind of meatball traditionally made from pig heart, liver and fatty belly meat or bacon, minced together, with herbs added for flavouring and breadcrumbs. The mixture is shaped in the hand into balls. It is a traditional dish in several regions of Britain, though less popular than it used to be.
