Washington DC, there are lots of fountains there, a large rectangular reflecting tub too.

But if they catcha we'll know your real identity.

If a North Carolina tobacco farmer can park his tractor in a pond for two days in the middle of DC (surrounded by every imaginable law enforcement agency) during “Threat Level-Orange”, I don’t think anyone would mind if you slipped in for a quick bath . . .

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
Mordac, I'm staying at the Marriott across the street for roughly half the price. I had to find a way to cut down the expense if I wanted to attend this year.

Years ago, it was Senator Wilbur Mills' midnight naked frolic in the Reflecting Pool with stripper Fannie Fox that earned him early retirement. Today that escapade would be a career enhancer!

Louvera,
Is the Marriott really just across the street? I too feel the need to cut back on expenses. Thanks TJ

Look at B-3. Pretty close by this map. Though it may differ when you put the shoe leather to it.

According to the info I have, the Marriott is just 141 feet down the street.

Since I usually walk about 2 miles a day, I should be able to make the 141 feet. Thanks- TJ

The rates I posted above were found using Side Step . You will certainly not find those rates on the hotels' websites. Thanks.

Even at 141 feet, remember after day 1, leave the book(s) in the room, carry only the sections you need.

Tina, I highly recommend this one. I attend every year and I'm always glad I have. They do a great job at looking on what's on the horizon and that makes my job easier. However, if for some reason you can't attend, the California Bankers Compliance Conference in early October is a very close second. I try very hard to attend both.

Just so I have this straight - its been a tough week - Tues evening at the networking session for the informal BOL or after the session? Sunday is after Marybeth's session?

Last year, I missed the BOL get together because some friends and I had reservations a Commander's Palace, but don't plan on missing it this year

I agree! It HAS been a tough week!

Here's the schedule. BOL users who are so inclined should congregate after my ID theft session on Sunday, and we'll head over to the General Session together. At that time, we can chat about what might be fun to do that evening.

On Tuesday, we're co-hosting the networking reception with ABA, in conjunction with Penley. There is an ABA-arranged dine-around afterwards. As I understand it, people get to choose where to go and with whom to go, so I'm hoping we'll get to congregate then, too.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together.

If I'm not there, I'll be online.

I will be there, of course! I live close enough that I could commute in each day (that's what I did the last time the conference was in DC) but by doing that, I miss out on all the evening festvities! (Last time I scored two tickets to the entertainment, and gave them to Andy because I couldn't stay!) So, needless to say I am staying at the Hotel this year so I can enjoy the "whole" experience! I look forward to meeting everyone this year.

Thanks for the reminder. I learned that lesson (carry only sections for day) a couple of years ago!

Putting together some travel plans for the conference.
Does anyone know if there is shuttle service from Dulles to the Hilton or the Marriott?
