The 35W bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed! I am sure it is all over the news.

Prayers please...our friend Garrett is one of the injured and may not make it. We just received word a few minutes ago. I would bet he was on his way to the Twins game. He just proposed to his girlfriend this weekend. We are in shock.

Kiwi - Any news on Garrett? It's hard not to think about him and his fiance.
There are alot of thoughts and prayers going out in that direction, for all, as we continue to see this on the news.

Kiwi emailed me this reponse today about Garrett:
"It sounds like he is doing better. He is in critical but stable condition. The paper says he suffered intestinal injuries, along with a broken leg and fractures to the bones in his face. His car is the red Ford Focus that is next to the white car in the water that they keep showing. The AP photo shows the feet of a rescue worker sticking out the passenger side with a bunch of police/rescue workers standing on the concrete above."
There is one person also that I'm aware of from our area that is still considered missing - there was a prayer chain request through our church this morning.

Good news! It sounds like he is doing pretty well considering everything that happened. His family has set up a CaringBridge site for him. Please continue to pray, he has a long road ahead of him.
