Really????

Yes! I always thought that was weird; they would cover the birth of a baby, but not birth control, which would be much cheaper for everyone.

And yet a lot of those same companies WILL cover Viagra and similar drugs for men. Can you hear my eyes rolling from there?

The insurance we have here covers female birth control. Oral contraceptives only. I always thought that was unfair.

Actually, most of the same companies that do not cover birth control do not cover Viagra.

FYI: If you need those same pills (birth control) for something other than birth control, they are covered.

Also, check your insurance plans you think are covering Viagra.... They really aren't covering it! The copay is such that you can use 1 pill a week, and it's going to cost you far more than any other prescription on your plan.

Wisteria Lane..
On a related note, I stopped by an optician's office Saturday and they will take used eye-glasses (they go to the Lion's Club for distribution).

I have 6 to 8 pair to donate and hope these will be helpful to someone.

Free clinics will take splints, crutches, etc. Things that don't require sterilization.

My husbands insurance covers his insulin (juvenile diabetic for the last 40 years), but won't cover the syringes. Seems stupid to me.
