I am really nervous about my doctors appointment tomorrow.
They are going to do an ultra sound of my heart to see why my EKG looks like I am having a heart attack. I am 23 very healthy, I run about 5 days a week... He said it might be something called IHSS, but I have no Idea, they wont tell me anything I guess because they dont know anything. Now it is really starting to bother me. If you guys could just say an extra prayer or two for my sanity and to keep me calm. I know that I cant do anything about what they find until they find it, if there is anything, but I am just flippin out about it.... Thanks

Prayers coming from Central GA. My sister had a stress test about 2 years ago and had some irregular activity, which concerned her (obviously). They did a 2nd dye stress test and everything was fine. I'm sure your results will be similar.

Prayers being sent! Also, write down any questions you may have and ASK THEM. You are paying the doctor, so they owe you the information, but they have so much information, they just don't know what it is you want to know. They also might assume you know it already.

Yeah, its mainly the uncertainty that is driving me nuts...
Yesterday I was fine... just had chest pains that I had before occaisionaly, then it lasted for 3 hours so I go to the emergency room, They do an EKG and the lady doesnt say anything, she, literally, runs out of the room and back in with a wheel chair, and says(all in one breath!), "Ok, I am going to take you to the back, they are going to put an IV on, there are going to be a lot of people asking you a lot of questions... I just don't wnat you to freak out. OK?"
I just laughed....
Then they did another EKG and it still looked like I was having a heart attack....
Blood work came back fine, Chest Xray was fine... They said that the chest pains were unrelated and caused by stress.... but I want to know why I have a severly messed up EKG!

My husband had an anxiety attack a couple of years ago - your symptoms sound very similar to what he experienced.

Had something similar and found out it is GURD or acid reflux. One little pill a day, watch what I eat and all better!!!! Who knew! Good luck, hopefully it will be something similar and you can laugh about it all tomorrow.

I can relate, going into out patient surgery on Fri for the kidney stones and I'm terrified. I also have heart problems, a-fib, irregular heart beats and racing. Last time I was under general anesthia I had cardio issues that almost stopped the procedure.
Here's what I can tell you. When I first had problems at 25 the doctor read the results all wrong and this was a seasoned dr. When I had a second "episode" he said, "who the he## read the first results" to which the nurse said, "you did". Then they told me I had mitral valve prolaspe. Years later another episode and new doc wanted me on Warfarin. Last Sept ended up in hospital again and another new doc said, I never had Mitral Valve, do not take the profalatic meds I've taken for 25 yrs, never go on Warfarin (which I never did). So it seems that every doctor has a different diagnosis. I quit caffiene when the problem first started and that seemed to help. Also the last 2 times that landed me in the hospital were because I drank really really cold drinks super fast. You are going to have to be your own doctor and see what triggers your problems. I've been going thru this for 25 years and I have no faith in the doctors and they are at a leading heart institute in this country. I think the panic attack theory is good. My friend thought she was having a heart attack (her dad died when we were 7 from a heart attack) and it was finally diagnosed as a panic attack due to stress. She changed jobs and it has never happened again.

Ah, thank you Skittles, I did not notice the u/a difference, and I was highly perplexed.

There seems to be quite a bit of name-changing today. Odd.
