We have a non customer that wants a copy of a check they cashed at our bank. Do they have a right to the check after they cash it? Isn't it our customer/the banks property now?

They should have made a copy before they cashed it.

The check was honored (I hope you charged him ). They have their money. It would appear they are whole.

They should direct their request to the account owner.

That's what we thought, but just wanted to make sure we were right.
