Does anyone know if a bank is required to report commercial loan obligations on personal credit reports if the loan was given to an LLC and fully collateralized, but a person signed individually on the note? I am looking for a resource to reference and I am having no luck.

For what it's worth, we don't report any of our commercial loans to the credit bureaus, even with individuals as signers also. It is my understanding that there is no requirement to report any loan to a credit bureau. But you must be consistant, if you report some consumer loans, you report all consumer loans. Can't choose to report all loans for young men but no others.

We report all personal consumer loans but none of our commercial loans.
