See, what you do is beat the first few boys your daughter brings over nearly to death (you don't want to kill em 'cause then who's gonna tell all their friends) then you hang the pictures of the beatings on the wall facing the door. that way any boy that comes over, that's the first thing they see when they walk in the door. good motivation not to break my sweet little innocent daughters heart.

If you try to scare them off, you won't know who she's dating. Better to get to know them.

I know I'm not well known like some of the other politico's around here, but I don't think the government has any right to tell us how to live any part of our personal lives. I will say that gay marriage isn't a personal issue per se, it is a legal one. Sane ppl aren't trying to ban gays, they just don't think we should change the legal deffinition of marriage(which is based on long standing American and religious traditions) to include same sex couples. As for drugs; I don't have much problem with drugs in a person's home, as long as they aren't effecting anyone else. If you drive with high, arrested, if you work while high, fired. You accept the consequences of your actions. Period. Otherwise, it's your life in your home and no one has the right to stop you.

Point of clarification from the news this morning. It is NOT the school nurse providing birth control. It is a student health center, such as you might find at a university, use requires parental permission, and a complete physical and medical history is required prior to being prescribed the pill.

Actually, CG, I don't have a problem with it as long as the parents are involved. I just think it is too personal a decision to be made without some king of guidance.

And, Nanwa, the lock on my chastity belt broke, so I don't think that will work.

It is a parental issue, if the parent decides that is the right course for their family, than there is nothing wrong with that. But it is not an issue where the parents should be in the dark about, even if that is what they want.

I have to say that I agree with Little Miss Naughty, and I find Nanwa's post quite offensive to both adoptees and to adoptive parents. I really hope the majority of people don't share these views that parenting a child to whom one did not give birth is somehow "less than" parenting a child to whom one did give birth. I'm stunned. Not everyone is able to conceive a child the natural way. Not everyone is able to parent a child they've conceived. Adoption is a wonderful way of bridging the two. I thought we'd come a long way in acceptance of non-birth children, but then I read something like this. Mind boggling.
