Heck, here in Central GA we're just now having the leaves change color. Fall is finally arriving.

Shoot, I wish we had cool weather. It's still in the upper 80's, lower 90's here. I still have to use my air conditioner. I would at least like to see 70 degrees. It's hard to try to get into the Thanksgiving or Christmas spirit when you are running the air conditioner and wearing shorts!

We are supposed to get flurries tomorrow...and the leaves are still on the trees! Peak color here in SE Michigan, but the wind is blowing something fierce (our power went out) and it is bringing the cold and snow!

Getting colder as the day goes on in the Chicago area with the wind picking up. That should take care of the leaves left on the trees. Snow fluries here later tonight and tomorrow. Not the best day to spill the soy latte on my winter coat

When I start missing the change of seasons, I remember having to rake leaves and shovel snow. Then, I'm content with mild changes in the weather here.

It's been in the 30's the past few mornings here in North GA. Leaves are at peak, but they aren't very pretty due to the drought. Still getting into the 60's during the day.

I miss SoCal! I've been having nightmares about snow for a month. I'm so glad it hasn't snowed much here yet! Hopefully nothing will stick until after Thanksgiving.

I'm in So. Cal and which we had seasons. We have two seasons here where I live - hot and not so hot. It would be so nice to see the leaves change colors and experience all four seasons. The only way we know that the seasons are changing is when we see all the snowbirds coming from the east to stay here during the winter.

Apparently, what the drought didn't do for the leaves changing, it did do for the pecan crop! At least there's one good thing to say about the dry weather.

Even tho the cooler temps are so nice..I just can't STAND IT when the time changes...grrrrr....[crawls back in cave to pout]

Yep, what corky said - snow flurries are forecast for tonight and tomorrow here in Chicagoland. It's CRISP out there, and the wind is sharp.

The leaves are gorgeous, though, and I love this time of year. I could just do with 10 degrees warmer and no snow yet! hehe

I love fall...it's usually so pretty. The unusual weather pattern has resulted in a lousy color display on the trees though.

I have to agree with RR joker...I just HATE the time change. It really puts me into a lousy mood.

Here in central Minnesota I shovel about 100' of driveway AND a turnaround. Last year we had several snowfalls of 8' - 12" inches and I had to break them up into 2-3 sessions. Shovel before work, shovel after work, shovel before bed. I really enjoy the fresh air and exercise but I must say I am looking at snowblowers this year to take care of the heavy and deeper snowfalls. It would be nice to blow a path to the birdfeeders also.

Two seasons here. Pool open which is too short. And pool closed - dang it! I hate wearing layers just to stay warm...and it's starting already with the winds my fellow midwesterners have already told you about.

This may be a stupid question, but don't the leaves fall off of the trees in the fall everywhere?

We had our first snowflakes this morning. What a bummer.

DSchrute - I believe that it depends on the weather. Our climate here is much warmer than yours and our leaves are just now turning colors. However with the exceptionally dry spring and summer most are just turning brown and falling off without the vivid colors of fall.
