I am posting this in hopes that you will support an endeavor that I think anyone would find worthwhile and help a school for low wealth income kids called the Ron Clark Academy.
The Ron Clark Academy (RCA) is a non-profit school that opened in southeast Atlanta this September. Ron Clark who started the school, won the "Disney National Teacher of the Year award, has written several premier education books and even had a movie "The Ron Clark Story" made, starring Matthew Perry as Ron. The connection that I have with the Academy is that my wife teaches with Ron at the Academy, which has 5th and 6th graders. The school is located in an area that is impoverished but does show some signs of improvements. These improvements can be partly attributed to Ron opening his academy in that area and becoming involved in the community.
HGTV has selected the school to participate in a nationwide contest, called "Change the World. Start at Home." Cities from all over the nation submitted one community revitalization project that they would like to see happen in their city. Atlanta chose its revitalization project to benefit the school as well as the area around the school. If the Academy gets enough votes(web link below),HGTV will build a greenhouse on the campus for students to learn about growing organic produce. In addition, if they win, HGTV will renovate the home of a family already chosen in the neighborhood.
PLEASE support this school and its kids by CASTING YOUR VOTE. It only take 10 seconds to do, and in that short time, you
could potentially improve this neighborhood and help the Academy become an ever better place for learning!
No registration is necessary and you can vote up to one time per day through December 21st. Click here to go (I hope)to the site to vote:

Try to vote as often as possible (you can vote one time everyday!) and of course feel free to pass this along to
friends, family, neighbors, etc.
Thank you for your support.
