I think it is more Taboo to have racist views versus sexist views in our society, but I think both should carry the same weight.

The musical was pretty good, Raoul Esparza, especially. This is one of my faves, and the soundtrack is just amazing! Especially "You're out of fashion"

My friend was inspired by that video for his Halloween costume--the living art in a frame.

Back to the original question:
Why is or should either position be considered "taboo"? If society has taught you that there are differences in genders and races, then shouldn't society own up to the fact that there are differences between genders and races and quit trying to act like that very same society didn't set the stereotype?
Face it, every single person has some degree of predjudice about another group of persons that is based on some pre-conceived notion they have about that group. Anyone who says otherwise is out of touch with reality or a liar.

Very well put, MJ. Niether is more nor less taboo. Both ride the waves of current societal perception.

While I think that both cases should be treated equally, the bottom line is they are not.
If a man says, "Oh well, she's a woman" that is going to be far more acceptable to people then, "Oh well, he's hispanic".
What scares me is people are actually voting for the next president based on their gender and race.
