Sing, I agree completely. People who take extreme stands need to be held to higher standards. It should be expected that PETA members adopt pets. Similarly, those that protest against abortion should adopt children.

...and those who fight against gay rights shouldn't be having same sex liaisons in washrooms...

Out of curiosity, X, do you wear only synthetic and plant-based materials in your shoes and clothing? No leather, wool, fur, cashmere, etc. in your wardrobe? Do you drink milk? Do you eat eggs? Did you ever have a pet? Ever kept a goldfish in a fishbowl? Ever gone to the zoo? Ever gone to the circus?

I have a lot more respect for people who take in animals in need of a home and love them and people who volunteer at shelters than for those who use publicity stunts and a lot of hypocritical rhetoric (like the PETA crazies) to attack other people instead of doing something about the problems!

What about using Lysol -- that kills innocent germs...

What about stepping on ants...

Speciesist? :rolls eyes: All species deserve the same rights and treatment? OK, then let's start PETP - People for the Ethical Treatment of Plasmodium (the parasite that causes Malaria). After all, Plasmodium is just another species that shares the Earth with us.

But it figures that you place equal if not more importance on the welfare of animals over people. So if you had to choose between saving the life of a family member or friend and a rat, the rat would have a 50/50 chance? Just one of about a million reasons I thank God every day that you are not family or a friend.

Oh, no, I killed billions of innocent germs last night while cleaning with... gasp... Lysol! I'm a species-ist (hangs head miserably and guiltily).

Buck - I've posted again and again (primarily for the lame like you) that I'm a dietary vegan, not a total vegan - that's as far as I've decided to try to go in this life. No circus, NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS - DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT MEANS - B U C K? No fish in bowls, no circus, no rodeo, no dog races, no visits to zoos.

PETA brings awareness to problems - stunts are required to wake up people, such as you from a catatonia state, although those same people are virtually always at the highest level of the "know-it-all" crowd.

From what I hear about you, burnt - there are still a lot of germs on you - try Lysol. And, as to the attempt at humor - keep the day job on the line, with "may I help you" and "thank you" about all that you should say.

I'm going to the rodeo this weekend. I think it's up to me to discipline all those mean people riding horses.

Are you picking on me because I outed you?

Truth be known - you eat a lot more poop than I do, right?

What line? Eating animals that poop is way out of line, also. Besides, Huge Happy has admitted that he eats poop - in his world that is a given, he's in NO!

Can't say it would be that bad. Now after a nuke and there was nothing else to turn to then poor little Zoe would be on my grill. He would die a worthy death though.

Do me a favor and explain what you mean by dietary vegan. So I'm not jumping to conclusions when I reply I want to hear what your definition of this is.

Why only go part of the way?
