I have been told by our CPA firm that we need to get IRS Form 8038-G completed by the borrower on loans we make where the interest income to the bank is tax exempt and that we should keep a copy of this form in the loan file. Does anyone have experience or insight they could share regarding this process? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
