My marketing department is going to put digital frames on the desk of every personal banker for ads etc and wants to have the Patriot Act Notice scroll thru on that medium also. My feeling is that that notice needs to be a static notice that is visible at all times, not scrollig in the middle of ads, etc. Any thoughts?

I agree with you, Corky. It's a notice, not an ad, and I would want it displayed at all times.

I agree as well - the last thing you want is one of your examiners or auditors to be in an office checking for the notice and having to wait while the ads scroll across.....

My thoughts, glad to have the support - always feels good when "I'm Right"

You might quote this for them.

notice must be provided “in a manner reasonably designed to ensure that a customer is able to view the notice, or is otherwise given notice, before opening an account.” 31 C.F.R.
§ 103.121(b)(5)(ii)

Most banks give the customer the notice in writing if they come in person to open the account.
