Well, I would certainly hope that that is not the case, but it appears that they haven't posted to this board in quite some time. I certainly hope that newtobanking is becoming a very successful compliance officer, but the situation that person described doesn't look promising...

Are you saying that maybe newtobanking was the sacrificial lamb of the exam?

I noticed the dates earlier today, but thought someone else would catch it while I scrubbed HMDA

If I were new to banking like newtobanking and thrown not only in to compliance but a compliance nightmare right before an exam I would be gonefrombanking, PDQ!

I sincerely do hope that ntb has found success in some endeavor!

Maybe newtobanking took bwest's advice (RUN!) to heart.

If you are reading these posts, some places you can look for the exam is in the CFO's office or ask the board secretary. These are maintained somewhere in the bank, you just have to locate where. You do need to read what was cited. I would even look at the exam prior. One thing you do not want are repeat comments. Some things you may not be able to change/correct now, however, the issues need to all be addressed and make sure procedures are put in place to ensure compliance going forward. They will be real upset if they identified deficiencies in procedures and they still have not been addressed. Good luck.

Good job Lissie, you managed to get alot of people to respond to an email that is a year old and even more to keep checking in to see what was new on this thread!

OK, admit it---how many saw the dates, but were not in 2003 mode yet?

Well, I stared reading through the posts, and I normally don't look at the dates right off, but then I did, and noticed it. That's why I put the post up there that I did. Sorry to seem pessimistic about ntb's current status, but their initial post didn't look promising, especially if they indeed were new to banking!

Since he/she only made 4 posts and the last was 4 days after they registered - it's not a good sign
