The vendor we previously purchased our Assessment Area maps from seems to have closed up. If we do not have any tract additions or deletions, do we have to purchase new ones? (ours are from late 2006.) If so, any suggestions on vendors to go through to get updated maps?

If nothing has changed then you should be OK.

Kathleen Blanchard at Key Compliance Services 800-811-3012 makes outstanding AA maps

She purchased CRA Information Services last year.

If your maps are still accurate and in good condition you do not need to replace them as long as the government hasn't made any changes, like splitting any tracts or counties. There is no "age limit". Of course, if they start to show signs of age, you can replace.

We ordered ours from a local university. Our AA consistes of whole parishes (that's counties to the normal world)
Anyway, ours where VERY cheap ($7 each, I think) and contained any outline available (lakes, park, indian reserv., etc...) beyond BNAs/Census tracts and hwy/roads, all in color and up-to 40 inches wide.
You may wish to contact your local college/university and see if they have a department that can do this for you.
