Good. One less dangerous receiver for the Steelers to have to contend with in their march toward their 6th superbowl victory this upcoming season.

"His conduct can no longer be tolerated."
- Bengals President Mike Brown
So, that means it was being tolerated the first four times?

So, that means it was being tolerated the first four times? It appears so since they did not take action the first four times. Anything else we can clear up for you today?

This was the right decision.
As for being tolerated the first four times?
This time appears to be moderately serious, being an assault charge.
The time previous was, heaven forbid, an expired tag for his vehicle. That's a horrible offense, isn't it?
The time prior to that was an assault and theft charge that was later proven to be a scheme by someone who wanted a payday by blackmailing him.
Most of what he has been accused of has been minor. Unfortunately, it's gone too far, and he's a blight on the city, the team, and the NFL as a whole because he can't stay where he won't get in trouble. He puts himself in situations that whether he does something wrong or not, end up putting him in the paper for issues.

Henry was arrested four times between December 2005 and June 2006, for possession of marijuana in northern Kentucky, carrying a concealed weapon in Florida, drunken driving in Ohio and providing alcohol to minors in northern Kentucky. In that case, he served two days in jail in 2006 after pleading guilty to a charge of letting minors drink alcohol in a hotel room he had rented.
yeah, but he was only convicted once...the Bengals don't have problems, we all know it... I really like this quote: The Bengals tried for an extended period of time to support Chris and his potentially bright career,” Brown said. “We had hoped to guide him toward an appropriate standard of personal responsibility that this community would support and that would allow him to play in the NFL. ... But those efforts end today, as we move on with what is best for our team.” so, 4 must be the internally set limit...someone should notify you know who...

Sure, since you've got the time - Maybe why some posters deny that the Bengals were, in fact, tolerating malevolent behavior, and, while you're at it, why you felt the need to take such a tone. Thanks!

Marijuana possession and providing alcohol to minors - no big deal so long as you play for a team that BF supports. But if you are not a Bengal, well then watch out.

Thanks! Please, take a look at the number of players on the Bengals with "malevolent" behavior vs. other teams. That's what I've been saying for a long time. I'm not excusing Chris Henry. On the other hand, what about other teams? Giants Antonio Pierce - Animal Cruelty Steelers Cedrick Wilson - Assault Steelers James Harrison - Assualt and Criminal Mischief Texans Jacoby Jones - DUI Texans Jerome Mathis - Choking his pregnant girlfrield Titans Lendale White - Destruction of Property, resisting arrest Titans Pacman Jones - Need I say more? Panthers Dwayne Jarrett - DUI Broncos Marcus Thomas - Felony Cocaine Possession Broncos Andre Hall - gasp, not an expired license! Vikings Bryant McKinnie - Aggravated Battery, Resisting Arrest Patriots Kevin Faulk - Possession Patriots Willie Andrews - Possession with intent to distribute Raiders Fabian Washington - Domestic Violence Eagles Mike Patterson - Possession Bills Roscoe Parrish - DUI Bengals Chris Henry - Assault, and an expired license That's for the months of February and March of 2008.

Slow month for the Bengals? Or are all the other players under house arrest already? Nope, it's typical for the Bengals, and the rest of the NFL. And before we put the blame on the NFL, let's look at other sports. The NBA, for example. Wasn't long ago that we had serious issues there either. Oh wait, let's look at the NHL where fighting is expected. If you look at any professional sport you have these very same issues.

But not at the levels the Bengals have it. They lead the league. Just of bunch of thugs. Once again, NO, they do not lead the league. New England and Tennessee lead the league, but they talk about the Bengals because of Chris Henry alone. I invite you to feel free to show any evidence that the Bengals lead the league in anything.

How about the NFL implement a harsher punishment policy? Since these "role models" think they are gods.

Proof? Over this nonsense. You go ahead. Just like pushing your buttons, especially on this topic. In other words, as on many topics you discuss, you speak out of ignorance of the truth and only with a desire to [censored] people off.
