Theres been a lot of talk in my fair city about baggy, saggy, pants and subsequent exposure. I'd like to hear your thought and if there is talk in your town concerning enforcement.

you have laws against low riders?

There hasn't been any talk in my town, but the kids don't dress that way where I live.

Are there kids living in nursing homes?

Is this limited to baggy pants on dudes or chicks?

I'm all for the low riders and a whale tale for ladies.

We see that around here, and I just want to roll my window down as I pass the wanna be gang bangers wearing their beltless pants and shoes without shoe laces and yell out PULL UP YOUR PANTS!

I've never understood this whole baggy pants thing. Why on earth would you go out and buy pants 5 sizes so you look like you're a walking fun house mirror?

You shouldn't be able to moon someone in 2 seconds just by pulling down your gigantic pants, there should be some effort involved!

It is based upon prison culture. Prisoners cannot wear belts otherwise they could use belts to hang themselves. So their pants hang down low and the garments are already baggy to begin.

So the street kids look up to this, and wear their clothes that way. The epitome of the "I don't give a sh!t" mentality.

I have always wondered about the origins of this "style", so thanks to you both for posting.

To the best of my knowledge, no cities around here have formal policies about this, but I know several schools have policies not allowing this style of dress.
