OK, just so no one starts to wonder what happended to me, after today, I'll be on vacation for the next 2 weeks. You heard me: TWO WEEKS! YIPPEE!!!

Last year I took a vacation and came back to several messages saying "what happened to David?" So, this time I thought I would let everyone know ahead of time. I'll be back on Monday, July 21st. The only bad thing about that, is I'll probably have 3,000 posts to read.

Sorry, David, but two weeks is fourteen days. You will need to return on the 18th.

Ok, I didn't want to rub it in. I'm talking the next two FULL weeks + July 4th weekend. (good planning, huh).

I plan on taking a few fish out of the Southern lakes and streams of MO.

Just so David does not feel alone, I'm going on vacation too! This is my first vacation!! I also won't be back for two weeks! That does mean returning on the 21st, not the 18th. (Although I'm sacrificing one day of my vacation to take a much needed seminar - I'm such a kiss-up)

I'm leaving at 11:00 today and will return on Tuesday. Although this is a short vacation, being in Florida will be great!

WEll I'll get a week off at the END of July heading to Youth World (Barrel Racing) in Mississippi...I'm looking forward to getting away from the desk part of work for awhile! The horse part of work follows me everywhere!

I was going to be upbeat and write, "Ca'mon guys. Life as a compliance officer is a vacation.". But the tears of new regs, new requirements and some old requirements too, kept blurring my vision.

I envy youse guys , but I'll also enjoy my 3 day weekend interspersed with family, home work, bank work, hobbies BBQ.

My neice went to the Youth World last year. She's extremely talented for a 12 year old, she competes each weekend. I've slowed down in my old age and taken up halter and western pleasure with my horses.

My soon to be step-daughter (14) is competing on 2 horses there this year now that she's finally out of Jr. Rodeo! I have been to Open World 3 times and will look forward to going back there again before long. Have a young horse just started and a green horse gaining experience right now...I used to show mini's also...halter, hunter, jumper, liberty and driving. Our vacations seem to be always centered around the big horse shows! LOL! One day I'm going to take a real vacation...where no work at all is involved?

Our annual vacation is the AQHA World Show in OKC every year in November. Trust me Oklahoma City in November is not that terrific, but I did show last year and was a finalist in the amateur aged geldings halter class. Pretty Cool!

We will find out if David and Analyze This are BOL addicts if we hear from them during their vacations!

Andy, you used the phrase "youse guys". Are you from Chicago? I am Chicago born and raised, and that is a phrase we used to use. (I used to laugh at my Pennsylvanian cousins who said "youins".)

Wait, examiners are coming to visit in September...nevermind dangit!

My three day weekend will be spent decorating a baby room. I promised to make a circus tent to go over the crib (from a picture...no pattern ...what was I thinking?) as well as all the bedding goober babies seem to need. I'm told now that she likes the quilt so much she's hanging it on the wall so I now have to whip out another one for the poor baby to sleep with!

Prego mothers are goofballs Anyhoo, she's scheduled for the 7th...so I MUST sew!

Actually, suprising as it might sound...I kinda like my examiners. (Don't tell them I said that...Matt...ignore this post!)

I have a data integrity review coming up, as well as review of my CD loans and investments. I'm told that my data integrity is so freaking anal retentive that I should breeze through this in my sleep. (And if anyone in the bank causes this not to be the case...I'll breeze through them in my car)

I was just hoping not to tackle the millions of CD write ups I have pending before...well before 2004

Well, I'm only getting one week -- but -- Oh, excitement -- I learned this morning that the 2010 Winter Olympics will be where I'm going. Everyone should be pumped! I'm looking forward to a week in Vancouver, B.C.! -- and coming back in time to explain adverse action to lenders!

I am on vacation until the 14th also. With everyone who is off this could seriously slow down the post count!!

There's a good side to that -- we won't have so much to catch up on when we get back. Of course, if we were like Andy, we'd have our laptops with us and be logged on at all times. Come to think of it, it's a long flight.....

I am going back to Mars for one week vacation, although they may not take me back! Dangit! I will go to Australia instead and paint my house.

On second thoughts, I will skip the painting since it is smack in the middle of winter down under!
