I didn't like Charlie Wilson's War so much...maybe I should watch it again??? I love all the actors. I just couldn't really get into it.

I watched 'La Vie en Rose' on DVD - great performance by Marion Cotillard, beautiful singing, etc...but my attention really started to wander about 2/3 through. I got tired of the jumping back and forth between different time periods.
Also saw 'Michael Clayton' recently, and really enjoyed it. (I hardly even recognized Tilda Swinton, after seeing her as the White Witch of Narnia.)

How is it that she always plays these creepy type characters??? She looked downright freaky in Michael Clayton.

I didn't think she looked all that freaky in 'Michael Clayton' - actually, I thought she looked pretty normal; and she did a great job playing a character who was clearly in over her head.

Atonement was good. Not exactly what you might expect from the previews (which made it look like The English Patient).

Yes - some nice visual effects, and an excellent wrestling match between the Polar Bears. I thought the little girl was good, but Kidman and Craig both gave fairly unremarkable performances. But also remember that this is the first of a trilogy, and the plot largely involves setting up for what follows.

That man is just too handsome!!!!!!! I have to agree with you on that! Unfortunately, he doesn't get much screen time in Golden Compass. Hopefully we'll see more of him in the sequels.
