I watched Idol for the first time last night so I obviously know nothing about anyone or anything. But I did think that the David that lost was a better singer than the one that won.

Oh yeah, before I take off - no one metnioned what I thought was the highlight (in the 35 minutes I got to see).
Carrie Underwood! WOW! I asked my wife if she thought she was wearing shorts under that outfit, and she said I probably hoped she wasn't. Forget the fact that she sounds fantastic and in my opinion is the best Idol winner ever, now surpassing Kelly Clarkson, but OMG - I am in love!

So was David's bro that was onstage last night his brother that is sick? No, his sick brother is too sick to be there. They had him in for one show, and it cost thousands of dollars to transport him. Fortunately his community made it happen.

I missed the show but did in passing see Graham Nash singing with one of the top 10
did they have Castro come back and sing with anyone - maybe a Marley family member or Jack Johnson?

Tiny Tim was by himself, and sang Hallelujah. He was good, again, with that song. HA!

Way, way south.

I thought George Michael was terrible (and he didn't look anything like he used to) and I felt bad for him.
Bryan Adams looked good and sounded pretty good too.
Carrie Underwood is hot, and she is talented.
That black haired rocker chick with the blond fringe sounded horrible.
Simon looked pretty happy at the end. I am sure he sees dollar signs when looking at David Cook, as well as Archie.

I am glad David C won. Our house voted ten times for him the other night. Loved ZZ Top. Also loved Donna Summer. Brought me right back to my Disco days, the only time in my life I was over six feet tall (in platform shoes)!
BTW: My niece plans on trying out for next year's show. I'll let you know how she does.

I missed the performance - that's why I'm askin' Here are Cohen's lyrics: I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you To a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah [ Find more Lyrics at http://www.mp3lyrics.org/T5 ] Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah You say I took the name in vain I don't even know the name But if I did, well really, what's it to you? There's a blaze of light In every word It doesn't matter which you heard The holy or the broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come here to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah
