The days of searching old emails to find previous guidance on issues are coming to a close. Is there an easy way to set up a searchable data base for memos (and converted emails) using MS Word or some other readily available software? Andy has to have a solution, I just know it!

I must be doing something wrong because that doesn't work.

If you aren't finding what you are looking for, you could try Google Desktop. It searches your computer, including email, etc.

I love Google Desktop. You can specify that it search your email, Word, PDFs, etc. MS has a version other than the generic search, but I haven't tried it. It is a special, additional download.

Thanks Gang - The Windows is XP version 5.1 (SP 2.)

I want to be able to search just my "Knowledge Base" folder, not a whole drive, as that takes a long, long time.

I have a Vista version and I can search just separate folders. I can't even remember what the XP version looked like
