I posted this in a few spots at BOL. Don passed away May 1st - just about a year after his cancer diagnosis. The decision to stop treatment was made a few months ago.

Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I didn't really know Don, but I got the impression that he lived a very full life and I'm sure his contributions made a difference to a lot of people. R.I.P.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Don was a class act and helped me out many times. I am glad there will be no more suffering, but what a loss to the world. Rest in Peace, Don.
