Just wondering how other Banks are complying with notice requirements. Looking for a easy/cheap way.

We currently combine the Homeownership counseling notice with the SCRA notice. I'd like to include both notices with the late notice to save on postage and strean line a bit but the SCRA notice is so darn long.

What are you guys doing on this?

I've heard of more banks that over-disclosed to plug all holes, than selectively tried to ID just those applicable and send just to them. There is no way to know who is all covered.

We send a 5 and 10 day system generated notice, on day 15 we send a letter. The notices are included with that letter.

I am fairly new to this bank and have been plugging away, little by little, to make sure that all is well in compliance....Today, I decided to look at SCRA and it turns out that while we are sending the Homeownership Counseling notice, we are not sending the SCRA notice with it. Can anyone direct me to the place where I can get the exact wording of the SCRA notice? I found Mortgagee Letter 2006-28, but since it was published in 2006 I don't know if there have been any changes since.

Thanks for any assistance!!

To the best of my knowledge the text of the notice has not changed.

The version of the notice attached with Mortgagee Letter 2006-28 is slightly different than the verbige on HUD form 92070 (last two sections). Both of these have verbiage slightly different than what was published in the Fed Register back in March of 2007. The differences are minor, but which version should be used?
