My husband of 33 years, will be having a very serious operation tomorrow morning. The prognosis is very good, but it isn't a slam-dunk kind of surgery. We have a fantastic surgeon and lots of support. I would like to ask for prayer from anyone who would be so generous.

Great news! My husband's surgery was a wonderful success and he is home safe and sound. Recovery will be long and slow, but that's OK. Thank you BOLer's for all your wonderful messages. Prayer is truly a powerful thing and should never be underestimated. Dawnie -- please send that cold air via overnight mail. My car thermometer read 117 when I was driving my husband home yesterday and it's been that way for a week!

Great to hear wonderful news! The clouds are rolling over our city now...and I'm turning on the vent to push them your way!!! Soon you will have no need for air conditioners But then I don't want to hear you complaining about the new glacier's sprouting up in the back yard either...

Dawnie, you won't believe it. It has been 10-15 degrees cooler this whole week. Thanks big time.
Update on husband. Had a setback. Developed blood clots in lung and is back in hospital. Hope to be home again next week. He was actually smiling last night.
