What is the worst comedy movie you have ever seen? I'm talking about movies that were meant to be funny but IYHO just weren't funny.

The one comedy movie I remember wanting to walk out and get my money back was a Steve Martin movie called Blue Heaven . I thought it was dreadful.

Oh, and if anyone thought it was funny to watch a bunch of junkies getting high while a neglected baby died in Trainspotting, IMHO you gotta problem. I have heard that movie called a comedy. Pathetic!

Tom Hanks, Joe Vs. The Volcano. It was horrible!

I will loudly second that. I kept saying to myself all through the movie - Bill Murray, Ben Stiller, & Owen Wilson this has to get funny at some point - but I was wrong.

I actually thought that was funny. "Owen doesn't have any friends." But then again, I haven't seen it since it first came out--it may be a stinker.

You have to be kidding. That was a very funny movie. I guess I'm into the stupid humor though.

I'll second that! I didn't think that day was EVER going to end. Thoroughly annoying.

The Water Boy, IMHO was one of the worst I have ever seen. Now we don't talk to the friends who recommended it!

Most any comedy with Jim Carey. I loved him in The Truman Show, The Majestic and The Mask, but everything else is too much in your face and over the top. The Mask was supposed to be cartoonish, so it worked. But his other stuff, he just seems to be trying too hard.

I think he is very good looking and like his dramatic work and his old comedy on TV. But it is just too much for comedy in movies.

The only Adam Sandler movie I was able to sit through was Mr. Deeds.

Boy, that is harsh. I won't even mention the Pauly Shore movies--I'd hate it if you didn't talk to me anymore.

I love Pauly, ok some of the movies weren't so great, but I still love Pauly. ( And my name isn't even Lisa! )

The only Adam Sandler movie I was ever able to stomach was Airheads. Of course, Sandler did not have the lead role in that movie. Come to think of it, Airheads wasn't all that funny, either....

The only thing I like by Sandler are his Hannakah songs. Oh, Lunch Lady Land was kind of funny too.

I have to disagree with two so far. Water Boy, for what it is, is a funny movie, and I thought Royal Tenenbaums was actually a great movie. My initial vote for worst comedys (not including sequels) would be The War of the Roses and the other has been mentioned a few times on the "funniest" list but it makes my worst list - The Money Pit (but I really dislike Shelly Long)

I liked Shelly Long on Cheers, but maybe she is only good when she is playing an annoying character. Wasn't her first movie "Nightshift." A sweet little movie in the "Pretty Woman" veign reflecting the truth of just what nice girls prostitutes tend to be once you get past all that selling their bodies stuff.

Z - I actually despised her prissiness on Cheers and as I watched other stuff she did, it became obvious to me that he overacting dramatic flair was just a natural byproduct of her personality (which obviously i am not a fan of). I had, however, forgotten about Nightshift which was a very good movie and she was actually good in that. Now i have to rush off the the funny movie thread to add some Michael Keaton movies! (maybe a new post of movies that can make you laugh hard and cry hard all at once - My Life was one of those for me)

TEND to be or "ARE"?

“Tend” may actually make one to discern that they are good at what they do!!

I think that was the movie. It was so stupid, I was completely offended.
