Mediate misses a birdie by inches. Woods misses by one roll.

Still Mediate by one, with two to play.

Tiger misses his birdie at 17.

Mediate had a long lag put, which he ran about 4 feet by. He drained the par.

Mediate will take a 1-shot lead to 18.

I think Tiger has to take a crack at eagle here, no matter whether he puts it in the fairway or not. If I am Mediate, I lay up and play for a birdie and force Tiger to make eagle.

Mediate put his tee shot into a fairway bunker. He will have to lay up for sure.

Tiger is in the fairway. He will have a definite run at eagle.

Woods has 50 feet for eagle at the last. Mediate has about 20 feet for birdie.

Woods runs the eagle attempt about 5 feet by.

Mediate---------- misses his birdie. A mis-read for Mediate.

Tiger in for birdie. Mediate has to make his par to force sudden death.

Yes - Woods in the fairway against the collar of the rough. Mediate in the left-side fairway bunker.

Mediate pulled the bunker shot into the stands left of the green.

Woods is on the green, 20 feet below the hole.

Mediate misses his par, and Woods wins his third US Open.

The news sources all speculate that he may have really screwed up his knee playing that many holes. Really hope not.

Gotta give it up to Rocco for hanging with the best golfer in the world.
