A loan officer ordered a title in an individual's name (which is how the sales agreement for the property purchase reads); however, we were recently contacted by the borrower who now wants the title in a business name (sole proprietorship). Are there any legal issues with titling the property in the business name when the sales agreement is in the individual's name. We' are thinking not, but wanted to get another opinion(s). Thanks!

Is it a DBA? I've always been told that fictitious names (DBAs) cannot hold title.
