I've seen the advertisements...I'll go see it because I love Star Wars, but the eps 1-2-3 don't come close to 4-5-6. Maybe it's because I'm 25 years older, but I didn't get the same excitement from watching them like I did when the originals came out.

It's a cartoon. I saw the preview, and frankly, it's too much like 1-2-3 for me. I'll pass.

I can't see paying the price of a ticket to watch a cartoon.

This is supposed to take place 'between' episode 2 and episode 3, so it is episode 2.5?

Yes.
It involves more of the lesser known Jedis. I heard Jabba The Hutt is supposed to be involved as well.

It's a kick off to the new TV series

There was a series on Cartoon Network (during Adult Swim) a few years ago - each episode was only a few minutes long. It was really good, so I'm excited for the new release.

I'd really like to hear more about what happened between 3 and 4 personally.

If you liked the Clone Wars that was on TV (we bought the DVDs), this looks like it will be pretty good.

I think it will be good to see stories that don't necessarily revolve around Luke, Leia, and Anakin. The other Jedis look very interesting and would like to know what their individual skills are (as if they are real!). But I think this will add to the Star Wars saga and link the two sets of movies.

Pale - Won't pay for a cartoon?? It's Star Wars for crying out loud. Worth every penny.

I have the DVDs of the first series. It was ok.
I'd like to know more about in between 3 & 4 as well. That hasn't been touched on all that much. Show how the Empire rose to such power and more on Darth Vader.

I think it will be better that 1-2-3. Lucas lost his story telling touch when he became wrapped up in special effects and digital filming. Ewen McGregor was an excellent choice for Obi Wan but Hayden Christiansan was all wrong for the part of Anakin. Although 3 was better than 1 and 2, i think many loyal SW fans were disappointed in what could have been. But then again perhaps our expectations were just too high.

It wasn't Hayden Christiansan that ruined 1-2-3 for me, it was the stupid things like Jar Jar Binks!

I think it's pretty equal between the two.

Sorry Princess. I meant to say Queen/Senator Amidala - not Leia.

Just call me a nerfherder - a term I believe you used in one of the movies that apparently means idiot.

My son has a book about the Star Wars creatures. You wouldn't believe the detail - mating habits, food they eat, size, home planet, etc. I haven't seen a book with details about the individual Jedi - would buy it if there was one.
