I am interested in any comments about Index Powered CD's IPCD. Comments from banks that take part in an IPCD offering. Any small town banks, customer impact, was it worth the cost to add to your web site, advertise, etc?

I am choosing to remain anonymous on this one. We did a soft roll-out of this product last July. I researched the disclosures and helped set up the account opening packages for the select market that we targeted. We did not advertise in print or on the website, and when I inquired about the sales two weeks ago, I was told there was only ONE.

This may not be reflective of the product, per se, since our promotion was low-key. The training materials and disclosures were easy to work with. I think it is just a tough time for someone to want to tie up their money for five years in a CD tied to the S&P 500, and our minimum balance to open was $10,000, not the usual $1,000.
