I am choosing to remain anonymous on this one. We did a soft roll-out of this product last July. I researched the disclosures and helped set up the account opening packages for the select market that we targeted. We did not advertise in print or on the website, and when I inquired about the sales two weeks ago, I was told there was only ONE.
This may not be reflective of the product, per se, since our promotion was low-key. The training materials and disclosures were easy to work with. I think it is just a tough time for someone to want to tie up their money for five years in a CD tied to the S&P 500, and our minimum balance to open was $10,000, not the usual $1,000.
