#55036 - 01/17/03 12:26 AM UCC: endorsement stamp

I have a personal, joint checking account with my husband. I run a small home-based business and deposit about 60 checks a month. Can someone tell me what an endorsement stamp has to say, so that I don't have to sign each check? I'm just depositing them into the account.

Thanks!!

OK
Some States have actually adopted a revision of the UCC code that doesn't require an endorsement at all. Your stamp can be as simple as For Deposit Only. Some people may add the name of the account and/or the account number. Hope that helps.

Our bank requires some sort of endorsement on every check, therefore we encourage our business customers to order emdorsment stamps. You should be able to order a standard one from your bank. Ours usually look like this:

For Deposit Only
Account Name
account number
Bank name
>routing number<
