When I was at another bank, I had a handy little reference tool that I thought had been put out by either FDIC or FRB. It was a listing of the A-Z of regs and then some with a very brief (1-2 sentence) summary of each Reg. I looked on FDICs and FRBs websites, as well as here, but I can't seem to locate this reference tool. Does anyone have a copy of this or something similar they would be willing to fax or e-mail? Our Ops. people would like it for a training reference tool. THANK YOU!

Look under the Alphabet Soup from the main page.
It gives a quick description of each reg.

Look at page 1.3 of the Kirchman manual. It has not only a brief summary of the lettered regulations but also most of the laws and accounting standards affecting banks.

Buffy, watch out for state specific issues that override the federal regulations. For example, Reg CC is incomplete for banks in CA because the CA Expedited Funds Availability Act adds savings accounts to the mix (Financial Code §867).

Similarly, banks in CA are exempt from the cosigner notices in Reg AA because the CA Civil Code (§1799.90 et seq.) is more restrictive.
