In addition to my normal duties, I will be handling all our projects going forward. I will coordinate a team, assign task and keep track of the progress. I was just wondering if anyone has found any great resources for project management.

Thanks!

I found when I was a project manager that using some sort of project management software was a big help, task lists, tracking assignments and progress, budgeting, etc. As for the current software out there, I am sure there are some better models than what I used, as that was almost 20 years ago now.

I should say that I have used Microsoft Project however I don't find it user friendly and because of licensing restrictions my project teams cannot open my plans. Excel works for everyone.
