What are your thoughts on opening accounts for individuals using an EIN instead of their SSN? At my bank loans are always under the SSN but we see accounts under the EIN. Just trying to get a general rule of thumb on what is correct. EIN for individuals is for employment taxes, not as identity?

You always use the SSN of an individual for banking purposes.

I agree with Randy as usual. I can't think of an instance where you wouldn't use an SSN or ITIN for an individual.
