We have handwritten daily general ledger from 100 years ago. Would you keep or trash it? Maybe 100 books with 50 years of debits and credits before it was fully computerized! We'll never look at it and there is no good or easy way to display it. The oldest book might be neat to keep but keep it all? What have you done with yours?

Check your State law - some have record retention requirements of "forever" for the bank's main ledger.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
our president/ceo is a history buff, so he actually reads through all of these and periodically sends interesting tidbits he has found to everyone as a "hey, look at this." old board minutes, articles of incorporation, old merger documents, and many other 100+ year old documents.
