In the past we have attempted to process the title work for any repossessed auto we sold. We did this to protect the identity of the defaulted borrower, and also ensure that the title work was completed correctly.
As of last month we started getting out of state buyers for our repossessed autos and it is more difficult to transfer title. We are based in Texas, and the buyers are from Florida.

My question is, do we have to process the title work or can we just give the Title and Repossession Affidavit to the buyer and allow them to process the title in their state? Are we required to "protect the identity of the defaulted borrower"?

Thank you in advance for any advice and guidance.
