FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
One of our customers apparently moved to PA with her sons before she died. The son is now presenting us was a Short Certificate that certifies Letters Testamentary on the Estate of Mom, deceased were granted to Son1, Son 2. We are unfamiliar with this document and would like to know if this allows Either son to act on behalf of mom's estate or if Both must act together. I would appreciate your assistance. When we contacted the State of PA they indicated it was a county issued document not state and that the state form would not be available for another month.

We've historically treated these as either/or situations. We've also received short certificates that clearly denote AND, and style those accounts accordingly.

Do you know which county issued the certificate?

Montgomery. However, we've since recieved a complete copy of the will which specified co-executors "AND" situation. Thank you!
