My bank currently uses one Appraisal Management Company (AMC) and has established set pricing for all appraisals, regardless of where the property is located. We are looking to engage two other AMCs. One company will match the current pricing, but the other company charges a higher appraisal fee in one particular county. When dealing with multiple AMCs, have you had difficulty establishing a set price for all? I'm not comfortable with a higher price in a certain county, just because a different AMC is selected.
