Do you list flood premiums with homeowners or do you mark other and list flood insurance?

Fire, flood earthquake, it is all homeowner's insurance.

We have separate listings. If we know that property is in a flood zone and will require insurance, we estimate a premium for just flood separate from just homeowners.

To complete the circle, if we find out later on it will require flood insurance, we list them separately on the CloD as well. For one...often it involves more than one insurance company. wink

Sorry - I read that question to mean in the Estimated Taxes, Insurance and Assessments disclosure.

Oh, you know, you are probably right, Randy...by the word 'mark', they probably are...'premiums' took me to the details.

Can I switch this up just a bit and ask about flood premium on a CD?

Our customer is building a home and Exec is requiring excess flood insurance due to the location and value of the home.

The flood ins. agent won't give us a premium for the excess flood until the slab is poured, the framing is in, and an additional elevation certificate is done. NOTE: we already have a premium for the initial NFIP $250,000.

While I get that flood insurance premiums fall into the unlimited tolerance category, we'd like to be as close as possible on the excess coverage premium.

Has anyone else encountered something like this?

Do you mean that you want to request an additional private flood policy over the NFIP limitations due to the value of the structure?

Not sure what the answer is, except the only person that can give you any sort of estimate, would be the insurance agent.

Unfortunately, the agent has refused to give us any sort of indication what the estimated premium could even potentially be.

Homeowner's association annual fees would be an example.
